My dad passed away last Saturday. It was a miracle that he lived as long as he did with esophegeal cancer. Most patients die within the first year. He felt good most of the time, until about six months ago. He had surgery to remove part of his stomach due to bleeding ulcers. He never felt great after that. His kidneys started to shut down, and they told us there was nothing more they could do. We brought him home to be in his own bed, and to be with his dog Lilly. Me, my two brothers and sister moved with our mom and dad. Most of the time my aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew, our kids, our wives, our husbbands were all there too!Incredible gift that we were given to spend time with our dad. I am very sad, but he would not want to live the way that he had been living. I know he is having a big party in heaven with everyone!!! This picture was taken last summer at the Lake of the Ozarks on the tritoon boat. His favorite place to be!

Oh Susan, I had no idea. I am so sorry for you and your family. I know how much you loved and adored your dad. Your family is so close and I know you already miss him. But, he is healthy and happy and walking the golden streets of Heaven.
